Ganpati Gadad is a group of 5 - 6 caves near Malshej Ghat. These caves were once known to belong to a Tribe during ancient times. Over the years a Temple of the Hindu god Ganpati was established in the main cave after which the name Ganpati Gadad came into existence.
During the monsoon, the caves hide behind a blanket of water, due to a formation of a waterfall flowing from the top of the mountain.

The route is simple and easily traceable.
Head towards Murbad from Kalyan station by a Bus/Private Vehicle
ETA 40 min
Board any S.T Bus from Kalyan bus depot heading towards Murbad. Buses are available at regular intervals. Private shared jeeps are also available for hire to Murbad from Kalyan.
Head towards Sonavale village from Murbad by a Private Bus/Vehicle
ETA 30 min

From Murbad ST Bus Stand, board a Bus heading towards Singapur Village which will drop you at Sonavale Village.
The first bus is available at 8:00 am in the morning from Murbad.
Note:You will have to walk for around 15 mins to reach the start of the trail if coming by ST bus directly to Sonavale Village:
Murbad - Dhasai - Sonavale
ST buses and Tum Tum's ply to Dhasai village from Murbad.
From Dhasai village, tum-tum's are available that will drop you at the starting point of the trek at Sonavale Village.
Tokawade – Sonavale
From Kalyan ST bus depot you can catch any ST bus heading towards Ahmednagar via the Aalephata route and reach Tokawade village.
From Tokawade private auto directly to Sonavale village are available which will charge Rs 250-300.
